enjoy a romantic 3 courses for £25

TO START
Pan seared hand dived scallops served with confit bork belly, curried cauliflower puree & roast beetroot

Rosemary goats cheese served with red wine poached pear & serrano ham

Pressed derbyshire game terrine served with fig & cherry chutney and a garlic & thyme crostini


MAINS
Duo of Derbyshire lamb. Shepherds pie & roasted rack with minted greens and lamb jus

Oven roasted Thai spiced monkfish served with sweet potato mash, sautéed pak choi and Thai cream sauce

Wild mushroom ravioli served with tarragon cream sauce , wilted salad and topped with truffle oil & parmesan shavings


SWEETS
Assiette of homemade desserts comprising of belgium chocolate brownie, strawberry & lemon millefeuille and champagne parfait

Winter Ale Festival

When? Friday, 24th Feb 2012 to Sunday, 26th Feb 2012

Real Ale – Cider – Folk Music – Mulled Wine – Gins – Winter Stews

 

Keep this weekend free for the best winter ale festival in the Peaks! After the massive success of last years festival you will see even more ales & ciders on offer. On the menu will be around 60 winter ales (including a few pale hoppy numbers, for those dreaming of next summer) homemade mulled wines, warming cocktails and great festival food, including a choice of homemade winter stews from local produce.

There will be live accoustic folk music in the bar area on the Friday and Saturday evenings. Bar open to late.

Camra's Mild Magic 2011

When? Tuesday, 17th Apr 2012 to Wednesday, 23rd May 2012

From 17th April until 23rd May, the Old Hall will feature numerous traditional mild beers in support of Stockport & Manchesters Camera (Campaign for Real Ale) Mild Magic 2010.

St George's Medival Banquet

When? Monday, 23rd Apr 2012

There are only limited places to sit on the large banquet table in the old minstrels Gallery for a two course hearty St Georges banquet of slow roasted lamb shank braised with root vegetables served with baked potatoes followed by a big slice of homemade apple pie & clotted cream. Menu is set and is priced at £20, but hurry places will soon sell out. Food served 8pm

 

Details of the folk music to follow in the bar afterwards will be posted soon.

 

September Beer & Cider Festival

When? Friday, 21st Sep 2012 to Sunday, 23rd Sep 2012

 Live music on the Friday & Saturday Evenings. Over 100 beers and ciders. BBQ all day every day.

Join us for a traditional start to your christmas. Festive Ales, Homemade Mulled Wine & Cider, Craft Stalls, Winter Stews, Local Food producers & music
