Easy under foot and good for those with prams / wheelchairs. Out bound is narrow country lanes and you return via the peak tramway. Buxworth canal basin is worth a wonder and in summer you can often get a lot of boats venturing into the basin. At the far end where the canal enters the basin, there is a small shop that sells ice cream (i'm afraid its opening hours are variable).
