Peak Districts finest food

Winter of Derbyshire's CAMRA pub of the year many times, we always stock 8 hand pumps of the best local craft breweries, changing daily. As well as an extensive selection of bottled beer, cask cider's and 40 plus gins.

Our sister pub just across the road has an additional 8 hand pulls, as well as 4 rotating craft keg lines, more cask cider and additional craft cans. I visit to Whitehough can be quite the craft experience. 

Through regular wine tastings and events, we get to hand choose all our wines, with the help of our customers of course! You can be assured to find that perfect wine, and through our interesting list, discover some thing you haven't tried before.

Featured in the Times as best 30 British pubs for summer. Our idyllic beer garden in the centre of Whitehough hamlet offers the perfect place to relax. Now featuring a BBQ/bar serving home made gourmet burgers , G&T's and Estrella. 

(check out social media for details of when this is open). In addition to the Old Hall's kitchen, allowed in the garden is food from our pop up street food kitchen and pizzas from the adjacent Paper Mill. 

All our lamb comes from one of our chefs farms in 

Kingsterndale, eggs from chinley, free range pork 

from Edale, fresh water trout from the local area, ales all delivered direct from local brewers and beef etc from our local butcher Mac Burnhams. We have won previously Derbyshire Life's dining pub of the year, and been runner up on numerous 

other occasions, as well as other prestigious awards and reviews from the Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian and the Times

Enjoy one of our private dining rooms, including the private kitchen room, complete with Aga. Kitchen dining seats upto 10 people, with an additional private dining room seating 12.

We have the impressive Minstrels Gallery to cater for larger tables. We can seat 20 on one table, or we can commandeer 

additional dining rooms for numbers of up to 70, depending on time and day required. 

To enable us to provide the same quality that is expected from our team, we look to reduce the menu choices. The number of choices depends on the size of the group, and the type of dishes you would like. See samples
