Escape to timeless luxury

We have numerous accommodation offerings, so we are sure to have the perfect fit. To understand our unique offer is to know a little about our story.

Whitehough Hall was the family home of the Dan Capper, your host. Dan returned back to Whitehough when the adjacent Inn, the 'Old Hall Inn' went into receivership, and set to bringing the beautiful Inn back to its former rustic glory. Then came the negotiations with the parents, and Whitehough Hall was incorporated into the Inn, allowing the small Inn to spill into the stunning Elizabethan Manor House, with its various small dining rooms and minstrels gallery, and so further increasing the accommodation and restaurant. Very much an Inn of two halfs. Traditional, cosy and full of historic charm.

As dan's own family grew, a small cottage became a bigger cottage and so forth, and now we have a couple of options for self catering in the hamlet. (unlikely you will want to self cater however...)

As our reputation for good, honest hospitality grew, the Old Hall became reliably full of locals and guests from a far, every night of the week. The idea was hatched to create what is now The Paper Mill Inn, an Inn directly next door that was in need of some love and creativity. A contrasting, yet beautifully complimentary Inn was born that allows us to be a bit more spontaneous with menus, with the old hall team joining the pizzeria team to deliver pop up world kitchens, contrasting the very traditional food of the old hall. Here we offer some additional rooms too.

Where ever you choose to stay, breakfast will be served to you in Whitehough Hall, and in the evening you can walk freely 'with beer in hand' between the two :)
