Dan, the owner, sets the tone for the place - relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. He’s helped make The Old Hall what it is today: a pub where locals, visitors, and their four-legged friends all feel at home. The crowds of regulars keep the atmosphere lively, and very welcoming to this many guests who passing through. We think it makes it the perfect spot for everything from a quiet pint to a meal out to a weekend away.

Our manager, Holly, keeps everything running like clockwork - from the daily buzz of the bar to making sure the team’s smiling and the gin never runs dry. Friendly, organised and full of energy, she’s the heartbeat of the place and makes sure every guest gets the warm Old Hall welcome we’re known for.

Our manager, Annie, brings her signature warmth and professionalism to every part of the Paper Mill Inn - from greeting guests with a smile to ensuring every detail runs seamlessly. Organised, composed, and hands-on, she keeps the inn’s welcoming atmosphere alive. Beyond the day-to-day, Annie’s eye for photography beautifully captures the spirit and charm of the Paper Mill.
